Sprinkle is a dynamic string instrument and woodwind performer and teacher based in Arlington, Texas. Their mission in lessons is to offer innovative and comprehensive methods to help each student discover their unique musical identity. With proficiency in multiple instruments, Sprinkle is a versatile and adaptable educator. As an oboe instructor, they emphasize the importance of reed making and adjustment, which they consider fundamental to mastering the oboe. Sprinkle began while still in high school, earning a spot in the all-state band three times and ranking first chair in the 6A symphonic band during their senior year. They have studied under esteemed oboe teachers, including Jane Owen, Erin Hannigan, and Elaine Douvas, and learned violin from notable instructors like Laura Garrett and Dr. Andrej Kurti. Featured as a “Rising Star” in classical music at the 2018 Basically Beethoven Festival, Sprinkle performed the lost second of Beethoven’s Oboe Concerto. Currently, they serve as Concertmaster with the Northeast Orchestra of Tarrant County and hold the title of principal oboe emeritus with the New Texas Symphony Orchestra. Sprinkle teaches in Arlington ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, and at the Arlington School of Music, also having contributed to the development of the Akron Strings Academy program in Ohio. They hold a Bachelor of Music in oboe performance from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and completed a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Akron in May 2025.
